Marine Leroux is the founder and CEO of Bamboudesign, Inc. and a veteran in the development of web and mobile applications, from strategy, design and development, to marketing, e-commerce, e-training, video and audio.
Marine brings thirteen years of design and management experience in mobile technology, complex applications, multimedia, ecommerce and online marketing. She launched Bamboudesign in Paris in 2004, specializing in web site and application user experience design, then in San Francisco in 2008 to focus on mobile application development. She currently heads Bamboudesign in San Francisco where she has contributed to the audit, design, and development of mobile application projects for beverage companies, the French metro system, a software company, and a large electronics manufacturer.
In 2009, she founded the iPhone Network Lounge, San Francisco’s largest Meetup network of iPhone professionals, with more than 300 members. She also talks regularly about mobile design and technology, user experience, and entrepreneurship to schools, TV, professional venues and firms.
In previous positions, she co-founded TTZ.com, a web globalization company in San Francisco, and managed Adobe’s international online stores and sales, where she helped build first European online stores. Prior to Adobe, she headed the development of an online presence for French bank BNP Paribas, and Palo Alto-firm Fawcette Technical Publications, as well as designed e-learning products for Microsoft.
Marine
has extensive experience with business operations, project management, interaction design and information architecture for businesses in the
U.S. and Europe. She is an active member of UPA (Usability
Professionals Association),
bayCHI (the
Bay Area's chapter for Human-Computer Interaction), and IxDA (Interaction
Design Association).
Born and raised in France, Marine currently lives in San Francisco, California
and holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Business from West
Chester State University of Pennsylvania.
